Smoked fish, local honey, and delicious cookies called “Riekstiņi” can be purchased at a small shop located 150 meters away in the direction of Mērsrags. If you don’t feel like cooking in the cabin, you can also enjoy a meal at local cafés such as Cafe Vizbuļi or the Seaside Health and Active Leisure Center “Tauriņkrasti.”
The nearest grocery store (“Citro”) is just 600 meters from the cabin (closed on Mondays and Sundays). Nearby, you can also buy local cheese (Kundziņsiers).
Entertainment
Just 200 meters away, you’ll find a basketball and volleyball court, a children’s playground, as well as a tennis court and SUP board rental.
Sightseeing
Just 3 km away lies the Engure Lake Nature Park, home to wild horses and cattle. The park also features a birdwatching tower, an orchid trail, and the first boat base on Lake Engure.
